Why Hire Kelley?
Have you ever hired a professional speaker who behaved like a
Prima Donna?
Do you get frustrated with the unrealistic requests and outrageous
demands made by some speakers?
Wouldn’t you like to hire someone who focuses their presentation
on what YOU need instead of delivering a generic presentation or selling
their products from the front of the room?
Dear Meeting Planner,
We know that you have an extremely challenging job and our goal is to
make the process of hiring, and working with, a speaker easier and less
stressful.
Kelley Robertson is a seasoned professional and he is easy to work with.
Here is what you can count on when you arrange to have him speak at your
next function:
-
He will show up early.
In most cases, Kelley will arrive at least one hour before he is scheduled
to speak. This will give you one less thing to worry about and will
reduce your stress. Plus, it will give Kelley the opportunity to discuss
his presentation with the audio/visual team which will reduce the
likelihood of technical problems.
-
He will contact you when he arrives
at the venue. That means
you will not have to worry about whether or not he will show up for
his presentation. If he is scheduled to arrive the night before, he
will contact you when he checks into the hotel. If he happens to arrive
after regular business hours, he will leave a message on your voice
mail and he will give you his cell phone number in case you need to
contact him before the presentation.
-
He will end on time.
Kelley knows that scheduling is one of the most challenging aspects
of planning a meeting. Many speakers run over their allotted time,
breaks take longer than scheduled, attendees arrive late. These are
just a few of the scheduling challenges of a conference or meeting.
However, unless you request otherwise, Kelley will always
end at his scheduled time even if the overall program is running behind
schedule.
-
He will create a tailored sales training program.
Kelley will develop and deliver a sales training program that meets your specific
needs. This means creating content and using stories that are relevant
to your business challenges and individual audience.
-
He will not aggressively sell his products
from the front of the room. Upon your approval, he
will present items that are of interest to the audience at the end
of his presentation but his speech, breakout session, or sales training workshop
will not revolve around selling his products.
-
He will not demand first-class travel.
Kelley is a business man and knows the importance of fiscal
responsibility. That means he will not request first-class air travel
unless he is required to fly outside of North America. Plus, he will
not demand deluxe hotel rooms or an exorbitant per-diem for meals.
Whenever possible, he will try to arrange work with other clients
in your city which will reduce your air and ground travel expenses.
-
He will not nickel-and-dime you to
death. Many meeting planners are surprised when they
receive an invoice for extra charges like long-distance calls, photocopying,
in-room movies, etc. All costs related to the presentation will be
discussed and agreed upon up front. There will be no surprises when
you receive your invoice.
-
He will not read from PowerPoint slides.
Kelley will incorporate the use of this software to reinforce specific
points but it will not be the focal point of his presentation. He
will also bring a back-up CD of his presentation materials. In the
event of major technical problems (i.e. computer malfunctions) Kelley
will continue with his presentation. PowerPoint is part of his program,
but he does not rely on this software to deliver his presentation.
-
He will not use profanity.
Kelley’s language and humour will be appropriate to your group. He
does not use profanity, make racist or sexist comments, or use inappropriate
humour in his presentations.
-
He will be accessible. Kelley
will remain accessible to your meeting participants for up to one
hour after the presentation and will answer any additional questions
they may have.
-
He will treat everyone with dignity
and respect. People are the most important component
of any business regardless of their position. And they deserve to
be treated accordingly. From the receptionist to the CEO, Kelley will
treat everyone in your organization (and at the meeting centre) with
dignity and respect.
-
He will make you look good!
Kelley knows that planning a meeting is often a thankless job that
is fraught with many challenges. Kelley’s goal is to help you look
good in front of your peers, clients, and supervisors.
